About Dr. Pelton
Dr. Charles “Chip” Pelton, a Missouri native from Kirkwood, combines a background in engineering with over 12 years of experience as an optometrist to offer a uniquely thorough approach to eye care. After earning a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, Dr. Pelton’s passion for helping people led him to pursue a Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Missouri—St. Louis College of Optometry. Now, as the proud owner of Desoto Vision Care, Dr. Pelton is dedicated to creating a welcoming space where patients receive more than just routine eye exams—they experience the quality of care that prioritizes their individual needs.
Dr. Pelton’s journey from engineering to optometry reflects his commitment to precision and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
